Scoil Mholainge Listerlin

Scoil Mholainge National School is located in Listerlin, Tullogher, Co. Kilkenny. It is under the patronage of the Bishop of Ossory.

We are situated in the Parish of Tullogher Rosbercon, halfway between Mullinavat and New Ross on the R704 National Primary Route.

The school takes its name from St Moling, the seventh-century saint with his hermitage at Mullinakill, about five kilometres from the school.

G.A.A

Our school has a strong tradition of G.A.A. for both boys and girls.

We are involved in hurling, camogie & Gaelic football. Most of our students also play with our local G.A.A club.

Swimming

1st Class to 6th Class take part in swimming lessons each year.

Lessons take place in the APEX leisure centre.

Choir

Students from 3rd class to 6th class are involved in our school choir.

Peace Proms

We have applied to take part in Peace Proms in SETU Waterford in January. We will be practising in the months leading up to this.

Irish Dancing

Irish Dancing takes place in the school hall every Tuesday.

Junior & Senior Infant lessons take place from 2-3pm and 1st-6th class lessons are from 3-4pm.

Library

Our 1st – 6th class students visit New Ross Library weekly before swimming lessons.

The library has a fantastic selection of books for all ages and they organise many events for children every month, to view these events visit the library facebook page.

Other

Each year we organise once off events such as drumming, hip hop dancing, Funky Kids, surfing, outings to the theatre, Spelling Bee and much more.
